Essential oils are highly concentrated aromatic compounds extracted from plants that contain the “essence” of the plant’s fragrance. Participants will learn about the basics of essential oils as well as their various uses in the support of cancer treatment. Increasing the support of and stimulating the immune system, ameliorating chemotherapy and radiation side effects, boosting post-surgery healing, and soothing emotional distress are many useful applications. In addition, participants will learn about aromatic, topical, and internal use of essential oils and which oils are optimal for the various applications above.

As a psychotherapist and wellness consultant, Lauren specializes in mind-body wellness and the treatment of chronic pain and serious illness, including cancer and such ailments as migraine headaches, arthritis, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, neck, back and sciatic pain. In addition to psychotherapy, the main modalities Lauren uses are the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a.k.a. “tapping”, and German New Medicine (GNM). She also has integrated the use of essential oils for support of both physical and emotional well-being.
