Hoping everyone is having a cool and refreshing summer!

The Breast Cancer Support Group is meeting on August 15, 12pm – 2pm at the Miami Beach Regional Library and at this time many new things will be revealed about the new direction of the group. The meeting also will present hypnosis by Nancy Gale Levine who will explain and demonstrate this scientifically proven technique that can promote accelerated human change.

Hypnosis can create desired changes in behavior and encourage mental and physical well-being. Hypnotherapy has been shown to treat a variety of ailments and issues, such as depression, stress, anxiety, addictions, fears and phobias. It is also effective in helping clients to realize their potential.

When something new happens to us, we remember it and learn a particular behavior in response to that circumstance. Memories stored in our brains hold the original physical and emotional reactions that occurred when the given memory was first formed. Each time similar events occur again, the physical and emotional reactions attached to the memory are repeated. These reactions may be inappropriate or unhealthy. In hypnotherapy, the trained therapist guides you to remember the event that led to the first reaction, separate the memory from the learned behavior, and reconstruct the event with new, healthier associations.

During hypnosis, a person’s body relaxes while his or her thoughts become more focused and attentive. Like other relaxation techniques, hypnosis decreases blood pressure and heart rate, and alters certain types of brain wave activity. In this relaxed state, a person will feel very at ease physically yet fully awake mentally. In this state of deep concentration people are highly responsive to suggestion. You are always in control and remember everything.

About our guest:

Nanci Gale Levine was born and raised in Miami, Florida. In 1993, she attended The Miami Institute of Hypnotherapy and received her diploma as a Certified Hypnotherapist. She also has extended certificates in the treatments of sexual trauma, dissociative disorders and sexual compulsivity and now is a Master Hypnotherapist.

The past 16 years, Nanci has performed more than 3,800 hours of clinical hypnosis. She has treated clients for depression, addictions, pain management, sexual abuse, fears and phobias, past and future lives, birthing, immune boosting and healing through deep relaxation. The last four years she has lived and worked in Mexico giving her the opportunity to study with several alternative healers who share the common goals of healing ourselves and others.

In Hypnotherapy, a mutual responsibility is formed between the client and therapist guiding him/her to resolve issues and achieve inner peace. This is the philosophy that Nanci strives to encompass in her practice and her life.
